Tickled Pink

How many of you are flamingo fans?  There are many stampers who love flamingos and have at least one flamingo stamp in their collection.  Me, I do not.  Not one single flamingo stamp in my entire collection of stamps!  When I went to do a Free for All challenge with the theme of “Let’s Flamingo” I was stumped.  How was I going to do this challenge?  I did not want to skip it because I have been doing so well at completing all of the weekly challenges on Splitcoast Stampers all week this week.  I finally dove in head first and decided to do these challenges because 1) they are fun 2) because they get me to think outside of my normal comfort zone and box 3) they get me to use products I like to hoard 4) they get me to try new techniques and 5) as I found out, one is a very worthwhile challenge that benefits a different special person each week.
Anyway, back to my flamingo dilemma.  I searched through all of  my stamp sets, hoping I might have a stray flamingo in the mix somewhere, but alas I did not.  I then looked online to see if there was a clip art flamingo I could print and use in my card.  Yes, there were several, but none I really liked.  Then I thought, I have some heart dies I could maybe use to make a flamingo couple with!  See, these challenges really do make me think!
I was not impressed by my flamingo couple at first, but then I added some bright, fun flowers, embossing folder and die cut background, bling, and the only thing I had to print from my computer was the sentiment.

What do you think?
I was Tickled Pink that so many people liked it too!  It made it to the Weekly Favorite list 🙂

This card is available for purchase as are all of my cards on this blog.  I do send out Smiles for those who need one, so if you have an elderly or disabled friend or family member who is having a hard time during COVID-19, please contact me and I will be happy to send them a card from Let It Snow Stamping for free.
