Have you decorated your tree? Have you finished shopping? Has your shelf elf returned if you have young children? Nope, nope, and nope in this household. My kids even know that I don’t like holiday songs until after Thanksgiving. I don’t mind it in the stores and I do participate in some of the sales if it’s a great deal, but in my house I wait. One of the main reasons I wait is because I get tired of the decorations. I just tossed out the pumpkins on my porch today and yesterday the kids rearranged the furniture to prep for the winter season. Just in time too! The snow is swirling around a bit today! Now I am ready for my holiday decorations and will pull them out as the kids can help.
After I finished my pilgrim cards that were featured in the Thankful? Always! post, I started working on tags for an ex-coworker.
I love these simple tags. I used the Layering Circles die set (Annual Catalog #151770), the So Many Snowflakes die set (Aug-Dec Catalog #153560), Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstocks. I had some sparkly glitter paper from Hobby Lobby to add a smaller snowflake from the Christmas Layers die set (Annual Catalog #150654) because I L-O-V-E bling with snowflakes! I will have 150 of them ready for her soon and then I can start on my tags.
Do you make tags for your gifts? If not, maybe you should! It gives your gifts a personal little touch that says you really care. What is your theme for the holidays? My holiday wrap is always blue, white, and snowflake/snowman themed to match my tree and my snowman collection. I am still looking for the perfect design for my tags. Do you have any ideas to share with me? Here are a few that I was playing around with in October.
They are a lot of fun to make and you can match any wrapping paper you have!
