I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! I know I am. Even though I am not working right now, I still love Fridays. Mostly because it means my hubby can do stuff with us during the day 🙂
Today’s card is a Casual Stamper level card even though I only used two colors on a Basic White card base (measuring 8-1/2″x5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″).
First off, I took a piece of 4″x4″ Basic White and stamped a leaf and splatter pattern using Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight. Sometimes making pattern paper with stamps is so relaxing. I am not very good with random stamping, but I can manage small backgrounds just by filling up space as best I can.
Next, I matted my square on a piece of 4-1/4″x4-1/4″ Granny Apple Green cardstock and mounted it on my card base. Make sure the top edge of your stamped square lines up with the top edge of the card base so you are left with an area at the bottom for the sentiment.
Then, I stamped a paint smear from the stamp set in Daffodil Delight and stamped my sentiment in the middle of it using Tuxedo Black.
Using some scrap Basic White pieces, I stamped out two flowers (Daffodil Delight) and 3 sets of leaves (Granny Apple Green). I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Using Scotch tape I taped them in the arrangement I wanted and mounted them onto the card with dimensionals.
Lastly, I added a bit of sparkle to the flowers and sentiment using my Wink of Stella pen and added some of the clear gems from the Flowers For Every Season Gems pack.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Make sure to subscribe to Let It Snow Stamping so you never miss another blog post. Every week I pick a stamp set and make one project (possibly two) every weekday. As an added bonus I also make videos for new techniques. The techniques can also be found under the Technique Corner tab.
