Happy Friday!
This weekend, while you are relaxing, peruse through the 20-21 Annual Catalog for any last minute purchases of retiring items. All retiring items are offered on a While-Supplies -Last basis. Some are even discounted! However, once they are gone, they are gone forever!
Today’s project allowed me to use all of the wonderful sketched images in the set. They are all so sweet and just how I remember my dad and I when I was young. I have been blessed to have a husband who has shared sweet moments like this with our boys.
I started out with a Pretty Peacock card base that measures 8-1/2″x5-1/4″ and is scored at 4-1/4″ for a crisp fold.
Keep in mind, Pretty Peacock is going away when the new colors come out at the beginning of May.
Next, I cut my card front from the Forever Greenery Design Series Paper and it measures 4″x5-1/4. Don’t you just love those rich stripes?
Using a Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad, I stamped my images on scraps of Basic White cardstock and cut them out using the Layering Squares Dies (also on the retiring list!). Then, I matted them with Pretty Peacock and added a layer of Old Olive to the sentiment square.
I glued down 3 of the squares with Stampin’ Seal adhesive and used dimensionals for the sentiment. Because I couldn’t help myself, I added this adorable Ladybug Trinket that was sitting loose on my desk, looking for a home.
Though I don’t always stamp on the insides of my cards (I write too much to give up space for a stamp, LOL), this one called for more sentiments. Gotta give those hard working dads permission to rest and relax on their special day!
