Hello again!
Since the first two projects this week used the dog stamps in the set, I thought today would be a good day to use one of the kitty stamps in the Pampered Pets stamp set. On top of that, I made her into a calico kitty! I used to have a calico kitty names Tessa. She had the sweetest face.
I started out with a Basic Black card base that measures, the standard A2 size of 8-1/2″x5-1/2″, and scored at 4-1/4″ for a crisp fold.

Next, I trimmed a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4″x3″ and another piece to 4″x2-1/4″.
On the large piece, I stamped the mouse toy and hearts over and over to make my background. I used Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored in the hearts using my Real Red Stampin’ Blends. To top it off, I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the red hearts.
On the smaller piece, I stamped the sentiment to the lower left hand corner in Tuxedo Black and the hearts in Real Red, then filled them the same as before.
I taped the two Basic White panels together on the back to make a 4″x5-1/4″ card front and mounted it onto the Basic Black card base.

Since I did not have any ribbon to match, I decided to make some out of paper. The black piece is made from a strip of Basic Black that measured 4-1/4″x1/2″. I ran it through the Subtle 3D Embossing folder to give it the ribbed look of grosgrain ribbon. Because embossing shrinks the paper a bit, I made it a little longer and then trimmed it to 4″ before I glued it to the card front.
***Make sure to leave enough room so that the red “ribbon” does not cover the sentiment when you add it below the black “ribbon”.
For the red piece, I used a scrap piece of Basic Red and trimmed it to 4″x3/4″ and used the cute little paw print die from the Pets Dies set to cut the paw print pattern. Then added some Wink of Stella to make it sparkle for the cute Tessa kitty to lie on. I glued the red paw print strip below the black “ribbon”
Tessa kitty is stamped in Tuxedo Black onto Basic White cardstock, and colored in using my Cajun Craze and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to make her calico spots. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to make her pop away from the background.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Make sure to subscribe to Let It Snow Stamping so you never miss another blog post. Every week I pick a stamp set and make one project (possibly two) every weekday. As an added bonus I also make videos for new techniques. The techniques can also be found under the Technique Corner tab.
