Happy Stampin’ Monday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Here it was pretty relaxing. I worked on swaps and on Sunday my hubby, middle son, and I went for our first vaccine. Man, my arm is sore, LOL.
Art Gallery is one of my favorite stamp sets because it makes it so easy to create gorgeous floral cards. It also has a matching die set that makes it even easier to cut out the flowers like a pro. No fussy cutting with these pretty blooms!
I figured I better start on my Mother’s Day cards. This one started with a Merry Merlot card base measuring 11″x4-1/4″ and scored at 5-1/2″.
Next, take a Basic White card front, measuring 4″x5-1/4″ and run it through the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder.
Next, we need to stamp this stem in both Mossy Meadow and Blushing Bride on to Basic White cardstock. Make sure to do the two step stamping to add the Merry Merlot accents on the flowers.
Cut the stems out using the coordinating die and your die cut machine. Gently fussy cut the flower blossoms from the Blushing Bride stem and add them to the Mossy Meadow stem using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Once all of the blossoms have been added to the Mossy Meadow stem, glue to the embossed card front.
Next, stamp the larger blossom in Blushing Bride with Merry Merlot accents on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Stamp the leaf stem in Mossy Meadow as well. Cut both out using the coordinating dies. Then tape the leaf stem to the blossom using Scotch tape on the backside to hold them together. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the entire flower and glue onto the card front.
Next, stamp the sentiment (I used one from an old Paper Pumpkin kit) in Merry Merlot. Cut it out using one of the dies from the Floral Gallery Dies and mat in Merry Merlot. I used my paper trimmer to cut the mat once I glued the sentiment to it. Then, adhere it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add some gems. I am using my favorite ones that will be retiring soon, Flowers for Every Season gems. However, in May we will have new ones that are self-adhesive! No more messy glue for me, LOL.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Make sure to subscribe to Let It Snow Stamping so you never miss another blog post. Every week I pick a stamp set and make one project (possibly two) every weekday. As an added bonus I also make videos for new techniques. The techniques can also be found under the Technique Corner tab.
