Here is a fun card that was inspired by my teammate Lisa Lange. She does amazing work and I love this fun fold.
First we start out with a card base that measures 11″x4-1/4″, which is scored at 5-1/2″, then flipped over and scored at 4-1/4″.
Fold and burnish at the 5-1/2″ score mark.
At the other score mark fold the card base back to the left.
Next cut 1 piece of 2-sided Designer Series Paper to measure 1″x4″ and another piece to measure 4″x4″.
Glue the smaller piece on the left side of the “hinge”. Flip the larger piece to the opposite side of the DSP pattern and glue it to the left side of the card base.
Cut a 6″ length of ribbon and place it like the photo below.
Tape the ribbon edges to the inside of the card base.
Add adhesive in the area between the score marks where the ribbon is taped. Fold the card closed and make sure the adhesive sticks well.
Now cut a 4″ length of ribbon and tuck under the first length that has been secured to the card.
Now tie it in a simple knot and trim the edges.
On a piece of Basic White, stamp the image using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Using the shading stamps, and Highland Heather & Daffodil Delight ink, fill in the flowers. I did the stamp off technique to make my colors lighter on my image. (To stamp off: simply ink up your stamp, stamp the image on a scrap piece of paper to remove some ink, then stamp on your project).
Using Garden Green, I stamped my filler stamp for the leaves. I stamped two leaves before reinking my stamp to make some leaves lighter in color. Using the Water Painter, I dipped the tip onto the Garden Green stamp pad, then colored my stems.
Using the Layering Circles dies, cut out the flower image using the largest plain circle and cut out a Highland Heather circle with the largest scalloped circle die.
Layer the two circles and glue together before mounting onto the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment on a scrap piece of Basic White using Tuxedo Black ink and mat with a scrap piece of Highland Heather. The section that covers the card front needs a Dimensional, but the side that covers the circle’s edge only needs Seal adhesive.
Feel free to add some Pearl Basic Jewels to the card as well. These pearls were colored using the Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends alcohol based marker.
Add a pearl to the center of the flower for more dimension.
The inside panel measures 4″x4″. Make sure to add a tidbit inside. The flowers inside were stamped using Highland Heather. Stamp twice without reinking to obtain the lighter color.
