Happy Tuesday!
Today has been a rough one. This set is giving me a hard time this week. Maybe the creative juices are just not flowing as easily as normal due to the overcast skies, I don’t know. I keep trying to do something different with this set, other than layers of the curvy dies. It seems that Pinterest is just bogged down with those types of cards using this set.
I don’t really like my first card, but as anyone close to me can tell you, I DO NOT like yellow! But, that does not stop me from making yellow cards. Other people may love yellow like I love blue though!
I tired to spruce it up with Wink of Stella on the leaves of the background and using Pearl Basic Jewels. I should have left the gems off of the flower and only put them on the border. But, like I always say….The ugly ones have to come out before the pretty ones do! This one isn’t truly ugly though. Right?!?!
This one was inspired by the sample in the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I broke down and used Designer Series Paper too!
This little guy is my favorite out of the 3 birds that come in this set. He reminds me of my pup when she wants to play. I used Just Jade and Basic White cardstocks and a piece of the Forever Greenery DSP. The baker’s twine was colored with the Stampin’ Blends to match the cardstock. I also used Stampin’ Blends on the birdy. This card is a great way to use up those scraps of cardstock and DSP that may be accumulating in your craft room!
I am hoping that tomorrow my brain will clear up and let the creative juices flow again! Maybe I will recreate a fun fold for tomorrow. A fun folds usually gets my brain moving again!
