Hello! How is your Tuesday going? Just in case you would like an update, Tiki started her antibiotics today and looks a little more lively today! She has even figured out that if she gets her shirt wet with snow, mom takes it off for a bit while she gets a new one. Smart dog! Then she glares at me for a moment and goes back to bed.
For today’s project, I broke out my Tasteful Labels dies for the beautiful sentiment. Remember the background from yesterday’s project? I did it again, but in landscape instead. This time I cheated though. The flowery, multicolored paper is a full card front measuring 5-1/4″x 4″ and then I placed a smaller pieces measuring 5-1/4″x2″ on top of it. So I did not cut it in thirds like I did yesterday. Both DSP sheets were from the Dandy Garden DSP pack. Then I mounted both layers to my Blackberry Bliss card base that measures 8-1/2″x5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.

Next I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock then cut it out using one the large dies. Using the other larger die I cut out a piece of Blackberry Bliss to use as a border. They don’t fit perfectly together, but that’s what I like about them. One is longer than the other.
Once I glued the two die cuts together, I added a couple of dragon flies that I cut out from the DSP using the Dragon Flies Punch. Those really cute white flowers are made with the Dandy Wishes dies and the tips are brushed with Blackberry Bliss ink and a Blending Brush. I also used Wink of Stella on the dragonflies and the tips of the white flowers.

I stuck the flowers onto the Foam Adhesive before tacking it onto the card front.

Once that was down, I glued down the dragonflies. I decided to tuck one wing under the flower just for fun. If you look closely, you can see the Wink of Stella glitter. It is always so hard to take pictures of Wink of Stella. I only put it on the darker spots of the wings and every other spot on the body.

Then to draw the eye to the end of the card I placed three rhinestones in the bottom corner that were colored with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends marker to match.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Make sure to subscribe to Let It Snow Stamping so you never miss another blog post. Every week I pick a stamp set and make one project (possibly two) every weekday. As an added bonus I also make videos for new techniques. The techniques can also be found under the Technique Corner tab.
